STEPS TO SUCCESS - A Daily Practice

Hi Friends!

We all know Success is not an instant achievement. It involves a gradual process of daily improvement and building upon previous progress. As Dwayne Johnson pointed out, "Every little step counts toward the final goal."

This statement is one of the many mantras that have kept us going since our previous journal.

Esteem Resources Africa (ERA), which I founded in 2022 to improve the well-being of young women aged 12 to 25, especially those at risk or who have experienced ritual servitude (Trokosi). We strive to enhance all aspects of their lives by gradually introducing positive elements, building a foundation of kindness, and sharing hope, faith, and love.

Our focus is on fostering emotional and spiritual growth while equipping them with the necessary tools to thrive in life, both personally and professionally. We strive to improve their business acumen, develop their life skills and empower them spiritually and emotionally. The ultimate goal is to show God's love in action and to help them achieve their full potential while developing essential life skills and business expertise.

What We're Up To Now

Based on the 2021 Population and Housing Census conducted by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), there are over 1.55 million unemployed individuals in Ghana, representing 13.4 percent of the country's economically active population. The report also indicates that females and young people aged 15 to 24 are the most affected. These findings emphasize the importance of promoting an entrepreneurial mindset among Ghanaian youth, encouraging them to take risks and establish businesses to improve their livelihoods.

To successfully achieve this goal, we are participating in a 13-week Entrepreneurship Online Program for young women. The program was organized by Let's Lead Africa in partnership with T3 Diversity Solutions.

An Online Entrepreneurship Program flier
Our young ladies were enrolled in a 13-week online entrepreneurship program.

After completing the 13-week course, the young ladies will receive certification from the University of Arizona's Thunderbird School of Global Management and Esteem Resources Africa. As a bonus, they'll receive a practical Business Plan to help jumpstart their businesses or expand their current ventures.

Throughout the program, we delved into subjects such as planning and realizing your dreams, managing and operating a successful business, and analyzing the market. Additionally, we explored effective marketing strategies, identifying target audiences, pricing strategies, efficient management practices, funding sources, and crafting a comprehensive action plan.

It fills me with happiness, as well as the ERA team, to see young women acquire knowledge and abilities that will aid them in becoming better individuals and making a brighter future for themselves and their families.
